British Currency
Print Design
This is a revisited student project where I redesigned England’s currency, highlighting renowned English writers celebrated for their literary contributions. The selected authors—William Shakespeare, Charlotte Brontë, and Charles Dickens—are featured on the front of the banknotes, each paired with one of their famous quotes. The reverse side showcases a meaningful location associated with each writer: Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, Brontë’s home office, and Dickens’ formative London streets. The design embraces a modern aesthetic to reflect the timeless impact of these authors and their enduring literary legacies. This project demonstrates my growth as a designer and the importance of revisiting work to continually improve and refine it.
